Our charges
Doug Heys Gas Engineers has 100% transparent charges. We believe our charges to be fair and reflect the professional and experienced service we provide.
We carry standard parts and fittings on our vans and will always do our best to repair during our initial visit.
If specific parts are required to carry out your job then we will take al l the necessary details to source the correct genuine parts and give you an estimate to return an d repair.
We do operate a NO Call Out Charge policy however in the case of fault investigation and diagnoses then a charge of £50.00 plus vat will be charged when a full re pair is NOT completed (at customer request), this charge will not be levied if repair is completed (any charges will be included in quoted repair price).

NB: As a company we Service gas appliances when completing Landlord Gas Safety Certificates, we believe this is in the best interest of all tenants and landlor ds as All Manufacturers recommend Annual Gas Appliance Servicing, in a professional capacity we believe this should become mandatory to safeguard lives.

Boiler Service
Boiler service can take between 30 mins to 1 hr depending on ma ke, model, condition, age and length of time since last service, a similar time is involved to service a gas fire.
During a service visit what do our engineers do?
- A visual inspection of main boiler components.
- Check for signs of leaks and corrosion.
- Clean boiler components where appropriate
- Gas pressure check against manufacturers data.
- Test flame failure devices.
- Gas test for gas leaks.
- Clean Magnetic filter where fitted.
- Flue gas analysis and print out where appropriate.
- Check ventilation is up to current standard where applicable.
- Energy Saving Advice.
- Visual Flue Inspection.
- Flue flow inspection where applicable.
Gas Safe Certificate
Gas Safety Certificate consists of the same as a normal service as well as the ad dition of full visual inspection of gas installation, completion of certificate, gas tightness, report of all defects and recommendations for rectifying any problems.
